Boains Helps Bentley Extend Dual Win Streak to 18, 176-105 over Norwich

WALTHAM, Mass. – With senior Jonny Boains (Unionville, Conn./Farmington HS) a triple-winner, the Bentley University men's swimming and diving team stretched its dual win streak to 18 with a 176-105 win over Norwich Sunday afternoon at the Dana Center pool.

Boains swam to victory in the 50 yard backstroke (27.56), the 50 freestyle (22.81) and the 400 individual medley (4:27.47.

Senior Chris Vukas (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS) and freshman Paul Homorodean (Milford, Conn./Joseph A. Foran HS) both doubled for the Falcons while also helping Bentley capture the 200 medley relay in 1:43.54. Vukas captured the 100 backstroke in 57.56 and the 50 butterfly (25.25) while Homorodean posted his wins in the 100 fly (56.48) and the 100 breaststroke (1:05.64).

The other individual winners for the Falcons were sophomore Jared Yoshihara (Irvine, Calif./University HS) in the 1000 free (10:18.55), senior Aidan Karam (Norwich, Conn./Norwich Free Academy) in the 200 free (1:52.15), freshman Clayton Bennice (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa HS) in the 50 breast (29.65) and senior Juan Quiroga (Bogota, Colombia) in the one-meter diving (226.80).

Both winning relays for Bentley included junior Ryan McGeary (Paramus, N.J./ Bergen Catholic HS).

The Falcons, 5-0, will have a nearly a month off before hosting St. Michael's on Jan. 9.
