Yoshihara Selected as Men’s Swimmer of the Week in Northeast-10

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University sophomore Jarod Yoshihara (Irvine, Calif./University HS) has been chosen as the Men's Swimmer of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference following his outstanding performance in Sunday's 124-97 win over The College of Saint Rose.

Bentley's 16th consecutive dual victory included two individual victories from Yoshihara, who touched first in the 200 yard freestyle (1:48.10) and the 100 backstroke (55.38). He also was part of a 400 free relay team that finished third in 3:28.37. His time in the 200 free was the fourth best achieved in the conference so far this season.

Bentley also had the NE10 Men's Relay Team of the Week for the third straight week. Bentley's quartet of sophomore Alper Alkaya (Milan, Italy), freshman Clayton Bennice (Ballston Spa, N.Y./Ballston Spa HS) and seniors Chris Vukas (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS) and Jonny Boains (Unionville, Conn./Farmington HS) combined to swim the conference's fastest 400 free relay time of the season, 3:19.74. It improved on the previous best by 0.88 seconds.

Bentley, 3-0 this season, is back in action Nov. 17 when it hosts Brandeis.
