WALTHAM, Mass. – Sophomore Jarod Yoshihara (Irvine, Calif./University HS) posted two individual wins, helping the Bentley University men's swimming and diving team to a 124-97 win over The College of Saint Rose in the Falcons' home opener Sunday afternoon at the Dana Center.

Bentley improved to 3-0 on the season and stretched its dual winning streak to 16, dating back to January 2016.

Both of Yoshihara's wins were achieved with times that rank in the top five in the Northeast-10 Conference this season. He swam the 200 yard freestyle in 1:48.19, fourth best in the conference, and the 100 backstroke in 55.30, fifth best.

Bentley swept the relays with seniors Jonny Boains (Unionville, Conn./Farmington HS) and Chris Vukas (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS) involved in both, as was sophomore Alper Alkaya (Milan, Italy). They combined with freshman Paul Homorodean (Milford, Conn./Joseph A. Foran HS) to finish first in the 400 medley relay (3:43.24) and with freshman Clayton Bennice (Ballston Spa, N.Y./ Ballston Spa HS) for a winning time of 3:19.74, an NE10 best so far this season.

Homorodean also took first in the 100 freestyle with his 49.40 third best on the NE10 performance list.  The Falcons also received winning performances from freshman Tanner Fales (Naples, Fla./Gulf Coast HS) in the 1,000 free (10:31.48) and junior Frank Elenio (Ridgefield, N.J./Bergen County Academies) in the 400 individual medley (4:25.62).
