Bentley Completes Undefeated Dual Season with 144-128 Senior Night Victory over Bridgewater State

WALTHAM, Mass. – With seniors accounting five of the team's 12 individual wins, the Bentley University men's swimming and diving team completed its dual schedule at a perfect 11-0 with a 144-128 Senior Night victory over Bridgewater State University Wednesday night at the Dana Center pool.

It's the first time in program history that the Bentley men have had an unblemished dual record.

Two of the wins from the senior class were turned in by senior Greg Coleman (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North HS), who received his sixth Northeast-10 Men's Diver of the Week award on Tuesday. He swept the diving for the ninth straight dual meet, posting scores of 242.05 from the one-meter board and 230.24 on the three-meter.

Davis Wilson (Ransom Canyon, Texas/Lubbock HS) led a 1-2-3 Bentley showing in the 200 yard freestyle (1:49.08), Dennis Witol (Bowie, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt HS) did the same in the 200 butterfly (2:05.61) and Colin McCarthy (Glastonbury, Conn./Northwest Catholic HS) posted a win in the 100 fly (54.69). Wilson was also part of the Falcons' winning 200 free relay team.

Freshmen, including Jarod Yoshihara (Irvine, Calif./University HS), also played a significant role in the win. Yoshihara finished first in both backstroke events with times of 53.91 seconds in the 100 and 1:58.51 in the 200.

The other freshmen to win were Alper Alkaya (Milan, Italy) in the 100 free (49.44) and Dan Sausto (Slingerlands, N.Y./Doane Stuart School) in the 500 free (4:55.97).

Bentley also received winning performances from junior Chris Vukas (Randolph, N.J./Randolph HS) in the 50 free (22.42), sophomore Ryan McGeary (Paramus, N.J./Bergen Catholic HS) in the  200 breaststroke (2:15.75) and junior Aidan Karam (Norwich, Conn./Norwich Free Academy) in the 1650 free (17:35.80).

Bentley will complete its season Feb. 16-19 with the Northeast-10 Conference Championships.
