Bentley Swim Teams Receive Academic Recognition from the CSCAA

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University men's and women's swimming and diving teams have been recognized by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America with both designated as Scholar All-America Teams.

The women's team posted a 3.38 grade point average during the spring semester, 27th best nationally among Division II programs, and the Falcon men turned in a 3.20, ranking 14th nationally.

Of the 20 student-athletes on the women's team, 19 have cumulative GPAs of 3.15 or better with four exceeding 3.5. On the men's side, 25 of 33 are over 3.0, including six over 3.5.

Bentley was one of only three Northeast-10 Conference programs to have both programs honored with the others being St. Michael's College and Pace University.

Bentley, in addition to shining in the classroom, excelled in the pool during the 2014-15 season as well with both of the Mary Kay Samko-coached teams finishing second in the Northeast-10 Championships after putting up 7-4 dual records.
