Wilson a Triple-Winner, but Bentley Falls at Le Moyne, 155.5-132.5

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Bentley University freshman Davis Wilson (Ransom Canyon, Texas/ Lubbock HS) was a triple-winner, but Le Moyne College finished strong to take a 155.5-132.5 victory over the visiting Falcons in men's college swimming at the Rev. Vincent Ryan Pool Saturday afternoon.

Wilson, a week into his college career, captured the 1000 yard freestyle in 10:38.00, won the 200 free in 1:50.42 and swam to first in the 500 free (506.34).

Bentley's other win in the meet came from sophomore Tim Connolly (Dorchester, Mass./ Boston Latin Academy) in the 100 backstroke (56.01). He also picked up one of the Falcons' ten second-place finishes in the meet, posting a time of 2:04.07 in the 200 back.

Freshman Dennis Witol (Bowie, Md./Eleanor Roosevelt HS) had a pair of runner-up finishes, touching second in the 200 butterfly (2:06.29) and the 200 breaststroke (2:23.87).

Bentley, 0-2 on the season, entered the final four events with a slim five-point lead, but the Dolphins outpointed the Falcons 48-20 the rest of the way.

Bentley's home opener will be Friday afternoon against Roger Williams University (3 pm).
