Karl & Mancini Named Bentley Swimming & Diving MVP's

Owen Karl (Rochester, N.Y./Brighton HS) and Nicole Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth HS) were recently named the MVP’s of the 2013-14 Bentley University swimming and diving teams following outstanding sophomore seasons.
Le, Belanger & Bridge Earn Academic All-NE-10 Honors for Swimming & Diving

Three members of the Bentley University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams were named to the 2014 Academic All-Northeast-10 team. Seniors Amanda Le (Chelmsford/Chelmsford HS) and Peter Belanger (Andover/Andover HS) were each recognized for the second straight year and sophomore Colton Bridge (Tolland, Conn./Tolland HS) earned the honor for the first time.
Bridge Competes in NCAA Pre-Championship Qualifying Meet

On the men’s side, Bridge finished 23rd in the three-meter and 24th in the one-meter, with scores of 204.05 and 194.60 respectively. His high point totals were 48.60 on an inward two-and-a-half somersault tuck from the three-meter and 46.20 on an inward two-somersault tuck from the one-meter.
3 Bentley Divers Headed to Ohio for NCAA Division II Championships

Three sophomore divers from Bentley University, including 2013 All-America Nicola Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth HS), will be headed to Geneva, Ohio, to compete in the NCAA Division II pre-qualification meet on Tuesday, March 11 at the Spire Institute. Joning Mancini will be Colton Bridge (Tolland, Conn.) and Courtney Stone (Andover/ Andover HS), each of whom earned the right to compete for the first time.

Bentley University sophomore All-America Nicola Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth HS) has been selected as the Women’s Diving Athlete of the Week in the Northeast-10 Conference following her outstanding performance in last week’s conference championships. It’s the tenth time this year and the 17th time in her career she’s collected the honor. Also recognized for their performances in the conference championships, with selection to the NE-10 Weekly Honor Roll, were Bentley senior Amanda Le (Chelmsford/Chelmsford HS) and sophomore teammates Owen Karl (Rochester, N.Y./ Brighton HS) and Colton Bridge (Tolland, Conn./Tolland HS).
5 Day 4 Medals Help Bentley Men Finish 2nd in Northeast-10 Championships

After accumulating a silver medal in diving, four bronze medals and four more school records during the fourth and final day of competition, the Bentley University Falcons finished second among seven teams in the 2014 Northeast-10 Conference Men’s Swimming and Diving Championships, which concluded Sunday at Southern Connecticut State’s Hutchinson Natatorium.

Assault on Record Book Continues for Bentley Men at Northeast-10 Championships

The assault on the Bentley University men’s swimming record book continued Friday as school records were broken six times during day two of the 2014 Northeast-10 Conference Swimming and Diving Championships at Southern Connecticut State’s Hutchison Natatorium. That makes a total of eight school records already during the championships.

The Bentley University men’s swimming and diving teams got off to a strong start Thursday at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships at Southern Connecticut State’s Hutchison Natatorium with the day including silver medals in two of the three events contested, two school records and a meet-leading 124 points.

Eight members of the Bentley University swimming and diving teams received weekly recognition from the Northeast-10 Conference this week for their performances in a dual meet sweep of Babson College. Sophomore All-America Nicola Mancini (Falmouth, Maine/Falmouth HS) was the choice as NE-10 Women’s Diving Athlete of the Week for the sixth straight week and eighth time this season, while the NE-10 Men’s Diving Athlete of the Week was Bentley sophomore Colton Bridge (Tolland, Conn./ Tolland HS) for the third consecutive week and fourth time this season.
Bentley Captures Every Event in Final Dual of Season, a 213.5-84.5 Victory at Bridgewater State

Seventeen events were contested and members of the Bentley University men’s swimming and diving team captured them all as the Falcons finished their dual schedule with a 213.5-84.5 win at Bridgewater State University Tuesday night. The win boosted Bentley to 7-4 overall.
Bentley Captures 200 Free Relay to Pull Out 121-118 Win over Babson

Down by two points heading into the final event, the Bentley University Falcons captured the 200 yard free relay by 0.71 seconds to record a 121-118 win over Babson College in men’s college swimming action at the Babson pool Wednesday night.

Keene State Sweeps Past Bentley Men in Pool

Senior All-America Drew Ledwith (Keene, N.H.) and junior Randy Dunton (St. Cloud, Fla.) each won three individual events to power Keene State College to a 185-103 win over Bentley University in men’s college swimming Saturday afternoon at Keene. The Owls captured all 16 events to drop the Falcons to 5-4 on the year.

Bentley Sweeps Relays, but Falls to Saint Rose on Senior Day, 155-141

The Bentley University men’s swimming team captured both relays, but The College of Saint Rose won 13 of 14 individual events and went on to a 155-141 win over the Falcons Sunday afternoon at the Dana Center pool.
