Walsh, D’Aleo & Wilde Honored by Northeast-10

WALTHAM, Mass. – Three Bentley University divers were honored by the Northeast-10 Conference this week for their outstanding performance in the New England Intercollegiate Swimming and Diving Association Championships.

Senior Mike Walsh (South Salem, N.Y./John Jay HS) and junior Shelly D'Aleo (Enfield, Conn./ Suffield Academy) were selected as the Northeast-10 Diving Athletes of the Week, and freshman Paige Wilde (Naugatuck, Conn./Holy Cross HS) was recognized as the NE-10 Women's Rookie of the Week.

This is the tenth time this season, and the 19th time in his career, that Walsh has received the Male Diver of the Week award. D'Aleo was recognized as the Female Diver of the Week for the first time since December 2010, and the Rookie of the Week award was the second for Wilde, who was also honored as the top diver twice earlier this season.

Walsh finished fourth in both the one-meter and three-meter diving events, and was presented with the Male Senior Diver Award. He recorded scores of 395.10 from the one-meter board and 329.90 from the three-meter.

D'Aleo earned the silver medal in the one-meter diving with a score of 387.25 and she also finished sixth in the three-meter, amassing 302.25 points.

Wilde was the silver-medal winner in the three-meter diving, recording a score of 352.30, and was also fifth in the one-meter diving with a 367.70.
