WALTHAM, Mass. -- Led by senior Egen Ouellette (West Hartford, Conn./Conard HS) and freshman Phillip Chan (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier HS), the Bentley University men's swimming and diving team opened its 2010-11 season with a 154-135 victory over Le Moyne College Saturday afternoon at the Dana Center pool.

The outcome was undecided until Bentley took the top two places in the meet-ending 200 yard free relay. Chan swam the opening leg and was followed into the pool by senior Matt Cesaro (Avon, Conn./Avon HS), freshman Steve Sylvia (Westerly, R.I./Westerly HS) and Ouellette, with the quartet combining for a time of 1:32.86.

Earlier in the meet, Chan was victorious in the 100 breaststroke (1:04.62) and Ouellette captured the 100 butterfly in 55.41.

Bentley swept the diving events, both contested on the one-meter board, with senior Jon Andrews (Southbury, Conn./Pomperaug HS) and junior Mike Walsh (South Salem, N.Y./John Jay HS) recording victories.

The other winners for the Falcons were sophomore George Go (Manila, Philippines) in the 200 butterfly and sophomore Tyler Champagne (Orange, Conn./Amity Regional HS) in the 500 free.
