Bio

Bobby Shuttleworth enters his 7th season as an assistant on head coach Gary Crompton's staff in 2016. Shuttleworth is currently in his 8th season as a goalkeeper with the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer, the last four of which he has been the first-choice keeper. He started nearly 95 percent of the club's matches since 2014. He helped the Revs reach the 2014 MLS Cup Finals.

After initally signing with the Revs as a free agent during the 2009 season, Shuttleworth emerged as the team's starting keeper during the 2013 campaign. He had his breakthrough during the 2014 season, going 16-12-4 with nearly 100 saves as the Revs made the MLS Cup Finals for the first time since 2007.

In eight seasons with the club, Shuttleworth has started over 120 matches. He made his MLS debut on May 29, 2010 against the New York Red Bulls and earned his first career win in the process. He made his first career start on June 5 of that year at the Seattle Sounders. 

Shuttleworth had a successful three-year collegiate career at the University of Buffalo, starting 33 matches and going 20-7-7 with a 0.80 goals against average. As a junior he started all 20 matches and posted eight shutouts while compiling a 0.63 GAA on his way to being named second team All Mid-America Conference. He decided to forgo his final season of eligibility to sign with the Revolution. He majored in communications at Buffalo.
