Bentley Picked 9th in Men's Soccer NE10 Preseason Poll

Last season's NE10 finalists, Bentley University was picked 9th by the conference's head coaches in the preseason poll.

The Falcons had a Cinderella run to the NE10 finals as the No. 8 seed last season. They defeated the No. 1 seed Adelphi 2-1 in the quarterfinals, then knocked off Le Moyne 2-1 in the semifinals. In the finals against Merrimack, a late equalizer by in the 85th minute by center back Adam Watkins pushed the match to overtime, before the Warriors won it in the 92nd minute.

Head coach Gary Crompton, now in his 11th season, welcomes back much of that squad, led by foward Julian Stewart and goalie David Price. Stewart led the team in goals (9), assists (5) and points (23) last season and was named 2nd team All-Conference, while Price starred in the postseason and was named to the All-Tournament team. Price, along with senior Kevin Williams, are the team's co-captains this year.

The Falcons return to campus on August 14th to begin their preseason preperations. The season gets underway on August 31 against Molloy at the Merrimack Kickoff Classic.
