Men’s Soccer Announces 2018 Schedule

2018 Schedule

WALTHAM, Mass. – Last season's Northeast-10 finalists Bentley University has revealed its schedule for the upcoming 2018 season. The Falcons will play their first games of the new season on Labor Day weekend.

The Falcons last season went all the way to the NE10 championship game as the No. 8 seed after knocking off the No. 1 seed Adelphi in the quarterfinals and Le Moyne in the semifinals, both by scores of 2-1. In the finals, they took the No. 2 seed Merrimack to overtime after a late goal by freshman Connor Mote tied the score 1-1, before the Warriors finally emerged in the 92nd minute.

Bentley's quest to get back to that point will begin on Friday, August 31st when they take on Molloy. That is part of a season opening tournament hosted by Merrimack. The second game of the competition sees Bentley taking on Caldwell on Sunday, September 2nd.

Head coach Gary Crompton's team will play their home opener on September 5th against Roberts Wesleyan, and six days later they open NE10 play with an away game against Assumption.

The NE10 finals rematch comes early in the season as the Falcons and Warriors take the field on September 19th in Waltham. Two other home games in September see Saint Rose visit on September 22 and Saint Michael's on September 29.

October begins with road games against Franklin Pierce on October 6th and Stonehill on October 9th. The only two home games of the month follow, against New Haven on the 13th and Southern New Hampshire on the 17th. The regular season ends with a trip to Le Moyne on the 26th, a rematch of last season's NE10 semifinal match.

The Northeast-10 playoffs get underway with the quarterfinals on Tuesday, October 30th. The semifinals are on Friday, November, 2nd, and the championship match is slated for November 4th.
