Spangler Earns NE10 Academic All-Conference Honor

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University men's soccer player Eric Spangler (Lafayette, Colo./Centaurus) was named to the Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference teams in his sport as the NE10 revelaed its Academic All-Conference teams from the fall sports.

To be eligible for selection to the NE10 Academic All-Conference teams, a student-athlete must have met or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) participated in at least half of the team's competitions and been either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale); and 3) completed at least one academic year at his/her current institution.

Spangler was a team captain for the men's team the past two seasons. A midfielder who majors in economics-finance, he helped his team go on a memorable 2017 postseason run. The Falcons reached the NE10 Championship game as the No. 8 seed with victories over the top seed Adelphi in the quarterfinals and Le Moyne in the semifinals, before they fell to Merrimack in overtime in the championship match. He started all 19 games in his senior season.

Spangler played in 64 games in his four seasons at Bentley and started 39.
