WALTHAM, Mass. – Both the Bentley University men's and women's soccer teams have received a Team Academic Award from the United Soccer Coaches for the 2016-17 academic year, it was announced Thursday.

Bentley was one of just 197 schools, out of all three NCAA Divisions, to have both its men's and women's teams recognized.

The criteria for a team to earn a Team Academic Award is to have a combined GPA of 3.0 or higher for all the players on its roster.

Both squads are in action this Saturday and at home. The women's team kicks off the doubleheader against Saint Rose at 11:30, followed by the men's team taking on Franklin Pierce at 3:00 pm.
