WALTHAM, Mass. – A Bentley goal just after the 2^nd half restart by junior Julian Stewart (Acton, Mass./Acton-Boxboro) leveled the score 1-1 with Adelphi, but the No. 3 ranked Panthers responded with three goals in a span of four minutes in a 4-1 victory over the men's soccer team on Tuesday.

Adelphi led 1-0 at halftime, but it took Bentley just 16 seconds of the 2^nd half to tie it up. After the kickoff, junior Chris Caso (Kinnelon, N.J./Kinnelon) dribbled into space and fed Stewart near the top of the penalty area. Stewart dribbled around his marker to blasted a shot over the hands of Adelphi keeper Raymond Leto for the goal.

The Panthers though, who are now 7-0-1 on the season (5-0-1 NE10) took the lead back on a 61^st minute goal by junior James Thristino, who got on the end of a cross into the box by midfielder Niko Buric. Adelphi then made it 3-1 in the 64^th minute on a goal by forward Alex Varkatzas, and Thristino added a 2^nd goal less than a minute later with a blast from the right wing from 20 yards out.

It was an even first half that saw Bentley create some good scoring chances. Left back Connor Mote (Lisle, Ill./Benet Academy)  got off an early shot in the 7^th minute that required a save of Leto. Less than two minutes later, senior midfielder Dan Anderson (Bedford, Mass./Beford) struck a shot that went just wide of the far post.

In the 38^th minute, Stewart took a free kick from about 30 yards out that was headed for the top of the net, only for it to be tipped over the bar Leto.

Meanwhile, Falcons keeper Harrison Rapant (Pittsfield, Mass./Pittsfield) was helping to keep the Adelphi offense at bay with several good saves. It was only hand ball, off a deflected shot, that led to a penalty kick and a successful conversion by senior Toni Soler in the 44^th minute that gave them a 1-0 lead at halftime.

Next up for Bentley is a trip to Vermont and a match with Saint Michael's on Saturday at noon.
