SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Bentley University dropped its final game of the season to American International 5-0 on the road Friday night out in Springfield.
The Yellow Jackets, who are headed to NE-10 postseason, scored four times in the 2nd half on their way to the win.
Bentley kept AIC of the scoreboard for most of the first half, until AIC's Francisco Fernandes broke the deadlock in the 43rd minute after he converted a shot inside the penalty box to bottom right corner of the net.
After taking a 2-0 lead in the 66th minute, the Yellow Jackets did most of their damage over the final 11 minutes with three goals. Two straight goals came from forward Alejandro Alvarez, in the 85th and 90th minutes.
