T. Kahn’s Two Goals Help Bentley Rally Past Saint Anselm for 3-2 Win

MANCHESTER, N.H. – Trailing 2-0 at halftime Bentley University scored three second half goals, with senior Tyler Kahn (Rockville Centre, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) netting two of them, as the Falcons rallied past Saint Anselm for a 3-2 road win in Northeast-10 men's soccer Wednesday afternoon.

The win is Bentley's (8-3-2, 6-2-2 NE-10) fourth in a row and extends its unbeaten streak to five (4-0-1). The three points further solidifies Bentley's chances of making the NE-10 playoffs, and moves them within striking distance of the top-four of the standings. The Hawks have dropped two straight and fall to 5-8-1 overall and 5-5 in the NE-10.

Bentley fell behind early as senior midfielder Cliff Parker scored in just the second minute. The Hawks went up 2-0 after senior Max Glebocki converted a penalty kick in the 30th minute after a Bentley foul in the penalty area.

But the Falcons fought back in the second half. Sophomore Andrew Fenn (Fort Collins, Co./Rocky Mountain) netted his first of the campaign in the 59th minute to cut the deficit in half.

About 10 minutes later Kahn made his presence felt, scoring his second of the season and first since Sept. 1 in the 69th minute to tie the score at two. In the 75th minute he scored again to put the Falcons in front and complete the comeback.

Senior goalie Alex Pilitsis (Brunswick, Maine/North Yarmouth Academy) made six saves to earn the win, his eighth of the year.

The Falcons will look for their fifth straight win on Saturday when they host Merrimack on Senior Day for a noon start. The program's 40th anniversary will also be celebrated at halftime, and the annual Alumni Game will take place before the game.
