Adler Selected As USILA/Nike Division II Scholar All-American

WALTHAM, Mass. – Former Bentley University men's lacrosse standout Max Adler (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./Northfield Mount Hermon) was selected as a USILA/Nike Division II Scholar All-American. It's the eighth postseason honor for Adler, who was also recently drafted by the Denver Outlaws of Major League Lacrosse.

Per a statement by the USILA, "Scholar All-Americans are exemplary on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. They have been and will continue to be tremendous representatives of our sport."

Adler was one of the best face-off men in the nation during his four seasons at Bentley. He capped his career in the 2017 season by ranking fourth in Division II in face-off winning percentage (67.9%), while also ranking third in ground balls per game (9.54). As a junior, he ranked third in face-off winning percentage (.728) and fourth in ground balls per game (9.15).

In the classroom this year, Adler earned a 3.44 GPA while majoring in corporate finance and accounting.

"Max capped off an outstanding career with being honored as a Scholar All-American," said Bentley head coach Jim Murphy. "His leadership and accomplishments on the field have been well deserved, but his hard work and dedication in the classroom is why he came to Bentley and was successful. Max truly embodies what our program is about, on and off the field."

This postseason alone, Adler has previously been named a second team USILA/Nike All-American, first team All-Conference by the Northeast-10, first team All-New England, NEILA All-Academic, CoSIDA Academic All-District 1, and chosen to play in the USILA/Nike Division I-II North-South Senior All-Star. He was named MVP of that game after he won 23-34 face-offs and collected 11 ground balls.
