SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Bentley's 2017 season came to a close on Saturday with a hard-fought defeat to a highly ranked team in No. 4 Le Moyne. The Dolphins won it 12-8 behind four goals from junior attacker Justin Kesselring.

Sam Hurley (Medfield, Mass./Medfield) had the first goal at 7:59, and Wheeler scored Bentley's next two. His first goal, at 3:39, was assisted by senior Gerard Lacerte (Barrington, R.I./Barrington). Wheeler then scored a man-up goal with 1:19 left, assisted by Will Macaluso (Duxbury, Mass./Duxbury).

Le Moyne though opened the 2nd half on a 6-0 run, which stretched into the 4th quarter. A goal by Morrissey at 9:13 of the 4th broke the run. Bentley then went on a 3-0 run. Matt Sanford (Stratham, N.H./Bow) had the first two goals, the first one was a man-up goal assisted by Hurley. Wheeler then completed his hat trick with a goal at 2:15. Morrissey netted the final goal of the afternoon at 1:47.

Senior defenders Will Kramer (Reading, Mass./Austin Prep), Connor Holbrook (Amherst, NH./Souhegan) and Pat Shine (Williamstown, Mass./Proctor) all started as usual, and midfielder David Phelps (Bedford, N.H./Bedford) played in his 52nd career game.

The Falcons finished the season at 6-7 overall, 5-6 in the NE10, but dropped three games by one goal, including to the NE10 regular season winners Adelphi, in overtime.
