Bentley Places Four on NEILA All-New England Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Four players from the Bentley men's lacrosse team were selected to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association's Division II All-New England team, it was announced Tuesday.

The four Falcons, who were all selected to the second team, are junior attack Cutler Dimond (Marblehead, Mass./Tabor Academy), junior defensive midfielder T.A. Demoulas (Lowell, Mass./Middlesex School), senior defenseman Billy Sweeney (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) and senior goalie Josh Baker (Randolph, N.J./Randolph).

The quartet helped lead Bentley to a 7-4 record in the highly competitive Northeast-10 Conference and a first round playoff win over Southern New Hampshire.

Dimond, in his first season in a Bentley uniform, led the squad in both goals (25) and points (35) and was tied for second in assists (10). He was previously named second team All-Northeast-10 after the regular season.

Demoulas started 14 games and led the team in ground balls (58), which was 11th in the NE-10. He also caused 15 turnovers on the season, which was good for second on the team.

Sweeney's All-New England recognition is in addition to the second team All-Northeast-10 honor he received for his play this season. He started all 15 games and led the team in caused turnovers (19). Sweeney helped Bentley post the third lowest team goals against average in the NE-10 (8.20), and he was also named to the NEILA's Division II All-Academic team.

Baker had a stellar season for the Falcons and was voted the Northeast-10 Goalkeeper of the Year and was also named first team All-Conference. He started all 15 games and went 8-7, while posting the NE-10's fourth best GAA (8.26) and fifth best save percentage (.578).
