Grant Named Northeast-10 Player of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. - Bentley University junior attack Brendan Grant (Walpole, Mass./Xaverian Brothers) has been named the Northeast-10 men's lacrosse Player of the Week for games ending April 17, the league revealed Monday afternoon.

Grant finished the week as Bentley's leading scorer with nine points on eight goals and one assist as they earned hard-fought wins over Southern New Hampshire and American International.

He netted three goals and dished out an assist in a 15-10 win over the Penmen last Wednesday. He topped that performance by scoring five times against AIC, three times in the second half, as the Falcons pulled away for a 15-7 victory.

His five goals are the most scored in a single-game by a Bentley player this season, topping the four he scored against Assumption on March 30. Grant currently leads the team in goals (20), assists (nine) and points.

Bentley, 5-1 in the NE-10, begins a big week of games Tuesday night at No. 9 Merrimack. Saturday they're at No. 2 Le Moyne.
