Desbiens and Pelino are two of just 20 candidates in Division I men's hockey for the award. Last season, Tanner Jago was named one of the five finalists for the award.

Things to Know: Senior goalie Aidan Pelino made 20 saves on Saturday and now has 2,224 in his career. The 20 saves moved him past Jason Argue '18 for 3rd place for the most saves in program history. The top two spots are occupied by Branden Komm '14 with 3,356 and Simon St. Pierre '05 with 3,256.

Pelino currently ranks T-3rd in program history with St. Pierre for wins with 33. Komm leads the way with 47 wins. Pelino also has the 3rd best career goals against average in the program, at 2.71

Matt Gosiewski has 8 goals and 9 assists on the season for 17 points. The Bentley record for goals in a season by a freshman is held by both Erik Peterson and Jeff Gumear with 16, who did it in 07-08 and 05-06, respectively. Alex Grieve holds the Bentley record for points by a freshman with 34, in the 2011-12 season.

The Falcons will be making their first trip out to Mercyhurst since the 2015-16, when the teams split a series. The last six games in the series have been hosted by Bentley.

Among current players, senior Jonathan Desbiens has 7 career points against Mercyhurst in eight games, on 1 goal and 6 assists. Senior Ryner Gorowsky has 2 goals and 2 assists in seven games. Junior Luke Santerno has three goals in six games.
