Waltham, Mass. – Senior Connor Brassard (Fitchburg, Mass.) has been named the Atlantic Hockey's Defenseman of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.

Brassard had two assists in Bentley's 3-2 overtime victory over UNH on Friday night. He had the secondary assist on a third period goal by freshman Matt Gosiewski, which tied the game for Bentley 2-2 at the 8:46 mark.

With the game in overtime Brassard then had the primary assist on Jakov Novak's winner, which came 1:22 into the extra period.

It's the first career Defenseman of the Week award for Brassard, whose next game will be his 100^th in a Bentley uniform.

The Falcons are back at Bentley Arena for two games this weekend to take on Army West Point on Friday night and St. Lawrence on Saturday.
