Pelino Named Atlantic Hockey Goalie of the Month for February

Waltham, Mass. – Bentley Falcons goaltender Aidan Pelino (Oakville, Ontario) has been named the Atlantic Hockey Goalie of the Month for February.

Pelino was stellar in eight February games with a 5-2-1 record, and a 2.35 GAA and .908 save percentage. He helped Bentley to wins in the first five games of the month, as part of an eight game winning streak and 12 game unbeaten streak, both Bentley records at Division I.

Pelino backstopped the Falcons to sweeps of Air Force and Canisius in the first two weekends of the month, then made 31 saves in a 3-1 road win over Niagara on Feb. 14 for Bentley's 8th win in a row. He also made 23 saves in a 1-1 tie at Holy Cross in the final game of the month.

The Ontario native finished the regular season with a 15-13-4 overall record, and played the most minutes of any goalie in Atlantic Hockey at 1951. His 2.58 GAA is the 4th best mark in the league and .904 save percentage T-4th.

Pelino and the Falcons earned a bye to the AHA Quarterfinals as the No. 2 seed. They'll host at Bentley Arena on March 15-17.
