Pittsburgh, Pa. – Junior Ryner Gorowsky (Lino Lakes, Minn.) scored twice, and three others chipped in with goals as Bentley defeated Robert Morris 5-2 on the road on Friday night in the first game of the team's weekend series.

Gorowsky scored in the 2^nd and 3^rd periods and also helped set up Bentley's first goal, scored by center Luke Santerno (Smithers, B.C.) in the first period. Senior Drew Callin (Middleton, Wisc.) had a 2^nd period goal and defenseman Connor Brassard (Fitchburg, Mass.) an empty-netter to close it out late in the 3^rd.

Bentley led 4-0 with just over three minute to play before the Colonials scored twice just 27 seconds apart, both in 4-on-4 situations, to break up Aidan Pelino's (Oakville, Ontario) shutout bid. He finished with 21 saves for the win.

For the first goal, at 8:15 of the opening period, Gorowsky helped cause an RMU turnover behind their own net. Sophomore Michael Zuffante (Bloomingdale, Ill.) was there as well, and he fed a Santerno a pass from behind the net to the slot, where Santerno beat RMU goalie Francis Marotte to open the scoring.

Bentley went up 2-0 at 7:39 of the 2^nd period, and was the result of a great cross-ice pass from Jonathan Desbiens (Montreal, Quebec). Along the boards on the left hand side, Desbiens flung a pass across the ice to the front of the net, where Callin met it perfectly on the far side to beat Marotte.

It was 3-0 less than three minutes later after Santerno made a steal behind the RMU net, and fed Gorowsky out in front for a quick one-timer that beat Marotte low.

Gorowsky netted his second of the night 1:40 into the 3^rd period on a shorthanded goal to make it 4-0, with assists by Brett Orr (Elkhorn, Manitoba) and Matt Riggleman (Milford, Mich.). Orr got the play started with a slap shot from the point that was saved, and Riggleman redirected the rebound over to Gorowsky on the far post for the goal.

RMU cut into the lead later in the period with the two goals in quick succession, but Brassard's empty-netter with 2:27 remaining put the game to bed.

Bentley will now go for the sweep tomorrow afternoon, as the puck drops at 4:05.
