McDonald Named an AHCA Division I All-American Scholar

WALTHAM, Mass. – Andrew McDonald (New Brighton, Minn.), a recent graduate from the Bentley University hockey team, was recognized as a Division I All-American Scholar by the American Hockey Coaches Association, it was announced over the weekend.

The criteria for being an All-American Scholar is having at least a 3.60 GPA in both the fall and spring semesters of the 2017-18 year, and also appearing in 40 percent of his team's games.

McDonald graduated from Bentley in May with a major in finance. He was also named to the Atlantic Hockey All-Academic team after this season, which made it all four years of his career he earned that distinction.

On the ice, McDonald appeared in 37 games for the Falcons this past season and notched eight points, while also being one the team's top penalty killers. He played in 129 total games during his career at Bentley, with 15 goals and 27 assists to his credit.
