Game Notes

The Matchup: Bentley has reeled off five straight wins heading into its final game of the season's first half. They'll look to head into the winter break on a six game winning streak when they visit the Dartmouth Big Green of the ECAC on Saturday night. The game begins at 7:00 pm from Thompson Arena in Hanover, New Hampshire.

Bentley ran its winning streak to five games when they defeated another ECAC team, Brown, 3-1 on Wednesday night. Defensemen had all the goals for the Falcons. Sophomore Connor Brassard had two, and junior Tanner Jago the other. The Falcons, with an overall record of 6-7-3, have a chance to go into the break at .500 after starting the season 1-7-3.

The Big Green will come into Saturday's game with a 2-6-1 record overall and a 2-4-1 mark in ECAC games. That puts them T-10^th in the ECAC standings. Last weekend the Green lost Princeton, but bounced back with a 0-0 tie with Quinnipiac.

Last Time Out: Bentley struck twice on the power play, and had all three of its goals come from defensemen in its 3-1 win over Brown on Wednesday night. Tanner Jago scored the game's first goal on the PP with 1:23 left in the 1^st period to give the Falcons a 1-0 lead. Bentley had a 13-4 edge in shots in the opening period.

Brassard's goal at 8:49 of the 2^nd period gave Bentley a 2-0 lead, before Brown got one back towards the end of the period. Brassard though scored another power play goal for Bentley with 8:30 left in the 3^rd period for a 3-1 lead.

Sophomore goalie Aidan Pelino made 31 saves for the win. Pelino has started every game of Bentley's five game winning streak. He has a .943 save percentage and 1.78 GAA in the last five outings.

Brassard Racking the Goals Up: Brassard has four goals in the last three games. He now is tied for the team in goals (6) with sophomore Jonathan Desbiens. Brassard leads all Atlantic Hockey defensemen in goals, and has the third most goals nationally among defensemen.

Winning Streak: Bentley's five game winning streak is the fourth longest unbeaten streak in Division I right now. Notre Dame has the longest at 11-0-0. It's also tied for Bentley's longest winning streak as a Division I program, which happened twice before; the 2014-15 season and the 2008-09 season.

The longest unbeaten streak for Bentley at Division I is nine games (7-0-2), which came in the 13-14 campaign.

Scoring Streaks: Matt Riggleman and Drew Callin extended their scoring streaks to six games on Wednesday, each with an assist. Riggleman has 10 points (3 goals, 7 assists) and Callin has eight points (3 goals, 5 assists). Ryner Gorowsky extended his streak to five games (2 goals, 5 assists), as did Brassard (5 goals, 1 assist).

Power Play Continues to Click: The Falcons scored two more power play goals in Wednesday's win, the seventh time this season they've scored multiple PP goals in a game. On the season, Bentley's percentage of 25.0 (19-76) is 8^th best in the nation.

Series History: This will be just the 3^rd all-time meeting between Bentley and Dartmouth. The most recent came in the 2012-13 season, a 5-2 Dartmouth win. The Green also won the first ever meeting, 5-1 in 2007-08.

Looking at Dartmouth: The Big Green have two players tied for the team lead with six points, junior Kevan Kilistoff (3 goals, 3 assists) and senior Corey Kalk (2 goals, 4 assists). Kilistoff and sophomore Daniel Warpecha are tied for the team lead in goals, while Kalk leads the way in assists.

The goaltending duties have split between senior Devin Buffalo and sophomore Adrian Clark. Buffalo has started six games and is 2-3 on the season, while Clark has made five starts.

Dartmouth's wins this season have come over Brown (4-3 on Nov. 3) and Yale (3-1 on Nov. 4).

Up Next: Bentley has hit the winter break. They'll return to the ice on Friday, Jan. 5 to host Northeastern at the JAR. The teams will play again one night later at Matthews Arena in Boston.
