The Matchup: Coming off a sweep of Robert Morris, the Bentley hockey team will turn its attention to UMass-Lowell as the Falcons will travel up to Tsongas Arena on Tuesday night to take on the 18th ranked River Hawks in a non-conference game.

Bentley swept aside Robert Morris at the JAR over the weekend by scores of 3-1 and 6-3 to improve its Atlantic Hockey record to 3-6-3. Tuesday's game will be Bentley's second non-conference game of the season; its first was at another Hockey East team, Merrimack, on Nov. 10. The Falcons will play at two ECAC teams next month, Brown (Dec. 6) and Dartmouth (Dec.9), and will play Northeastern in a home-and-home the weekend of Jan. 5-6 to wrap up non-conference play.

The River Hawks will enter Tuesday's game on a four-game winning streak, but haven't played since the weekend of Nov. 17-18, which was a sweep of UConn. UML has also beaten UNH and Northeastern during the winning streak. UML is currently 8-6 overall and 5-5 in Hockey East, which has them T-3^rd place in the standings.

Last Time Out: A pair of 1^st period power play goals, and 31 saves from goalie Aidan Pelino, led Bentley to a 3-1 win over Robert Morris on Friday night. Defenseman Connor Brassard and center Drew Callin had the PP goals. Sophomore Matt Riggleman notched a goal in the 3^rd period to put Bentley up 3-0. Pelino's shutout bid was snapped by a Michael Louria power play goal, but he finished the night with 31 stops for the win.

In Saturday's 6-3 victory Bentley led 2-0 after the 1^st period, was down 3-2 in the 3^rd period, but reeled off four unanswered goals to power to the win. Defenseman Brett Orr scored the tying goal at the 5:00 minute mark, followed by Callin blasting in the go-ahead goal at 10:58. Freshman Michael Boyle scored short-handed at 15:32 for a 5-3 lead, and freshman Luke Santerno added a late empty-net tally for the team's 6^th goal.

Callin had the game-winning goal each night. Meanwhile, Pelino continued to own the Colonials. In four career starts, he's 3-0-1 with a .960 save percentage and 1.23 GAA.

Schmidt Hits 100: Team captain Kyle Schmidt notched his 100^th career point with a goal and an assist in Saturday's win. He became the 11^th player in the program's Division I history to reach that milestone. The last Bentley player to hit 100 was Max French during the 2015-16 season.

Schmidt is one of just seven active players in the NCAA with 100 career points or more. His 45 career goals rank 5^th among active players.

Good Weekend for the PP: Bentley scored multiple power play goals in a game for the 4^th and 5^th times this season in the RMU series. On the season, the team's power play percentage of 23.8 (15-63) is ranked 13^th in the nation.

Looking at UML: The leading scorer for the River Hawks is sophomore forward Ryan Lohin, a draft pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning, with 14 points on five goals and nine assists. He shares the team lead in goals with fellow sophomore Kenny Hausinger and senior John Edwardh. Senior Tyler Mueller is the team's leading scorer among defensemen with 10 points.

In goal, junior Chris Hernberg has some of the best numbers in the country. His 1.51 GAA is 2^nd and his .946 save percentage is 4^th. He sports an 8-1 record in nine starts.

Series History: Tuesday's game will be the 6^th all-time meeting between Bentley and UML. The last game was in the 2012-13 season, a 3-2 River Hawks win. UML has won all five meetings.

Bentley will be looking to beat its 6^th different Hockey East team. They've claimed wins over Maine (2008-09), UMass (2009-10), Northeastern (2010-11, 2012-13, 2015-16), BU (2013-14) and UNH (2016-17).

Up Next: Bentley returns to Atlantic Hockey play on Friday night when they visit AIC. It will be the 3^rd meeting this season between the two teams. Both prior games ended in ties, 3-3 at the JAR on Oct. 10 and 2-2 in Springfield on Oct. 24.
