Holy Cross Strikes Early in Win over Bentley

WORCESTER, Mass. – Holy Cross scored four first period goals en route to a 5-0 win over the Bentley hockey team on Saturday night at the Hart Center.

Senior forwards T.J. Moore and Scott Pooley did the damage with two goals each in the opening period. Moore scored first just 47 seconds into the game, followed by Pooley scoring at the 1:59 mark.

Moore and Pooley then struck again before the period was over, at the 9:53 and 17:38 marks, respectively.

Freshman Andrew Dumaresque scored Holy Cross' 5th goal of the night at 4:19 of the 2nd period.

Bentley junior goalie Jake Bryniarski (Rochester, N.Y.) made 14 saves in 35 minutes of action.

Sophomore Jonathan Desbiens (Montreal, Quebec) and freshman Michael Zuffante (Bloomingdale, Ill.) led the Falcons with four shots each.

Bentley dropped to 0-2-1 on the season with the defeat. They'll look to bounce back on Tuesday when they visit AIC at the Mass Mutual Center.
