Jago Named to Atlantic Hockey All-Rookie Team

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley defenseman Tanner Jago (Brandon, Manitoba/Portage) has been named to the 2016 Atlantic Hockey All-Rookie Team it was announced Thursday, as the conference began to reveal its All-Conference teams.

In his first collegiate season, Jago played in all 34 regular season games and recorded 14 points on 1 goal and 13 assists. He was Bentley's 3rd leading scorer on the power play with 9 points, all coming on assists. In Atlantic Hockey, his 14 total points are T-10th among defensemen and T-11th among freshmen.

Jago was one of two defensemen named to the All-Rookie team this season. He joins senior Matt Blomquist (Blaine, Minn./Coulee Region) as Bentley defensemen to earn Atlantic Hockey All-Rookie honors since the conference's inception.

Jago and the Falcons will open the Atlantic Hockey Playoffs on Friday against Sacred Heart at the JAR with game one of the best of three series.
