WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Bentley and AIC skated to a 2-2 tie on Wednesday night at the Olympia Ice Center as defenseman Matt Blomquist (Blaine, Minn./Coulee Region) and Jake Ahlgren (Fergus Falls, Minn./Wenatchee) had the goals for the Falcons.

Bentley's Atlantic Hockey record goes to 9-12-5 on the season as they nudge ahead of Army with 23 points for a home-ice spot in the playoffs. The two teams meet in a home and home series starting Friday night.

The Falcons held a 48-33 advantage in shots and had several more good scoring chances denied by AIC goalie Alex Murray, who finished the night with 46 saves. Bentley's Gabe Antoni (Lansdale, Pa./Springfield) finished with 31 saves, the 10^th time this season he's had 30-plus saves in 16 starts.

Ahlgren's 7^th goal of the season at 6:11 of the 3^rd period was the tying goal after the Yellow Jackets led 2-1 after two periods. Ahlgren ripped a shot over Murray's glove after taking a pass from Cody DePourcq (Penticton, B.C./Penticton) for the goal.

Bentley started overtime on the penalty kill after a delayed penalty at the end of regulation in the 3^rd, but they successfully killed it off. The PK was pressed into action again after another penalty call 2:11 into overtime. The PK came up big again, and as Bentley went back to even-strength with 49 seconds left they buzzed around Murray's net getting off two shots on goal in search of the winner but were denied.

After a scoreless 1^st period that saw Bentley own an 18-7 advantage in shots, both teams scored on the power play in the 2^nd. AIC's Marc Dubeau struck first at the 8:15 mark. The Falcons then tied it up at 12:30 as Blomquist blasted in a slap shot from the blue line under Murray's pads for his 4^th goal of the season and 21^st point.

AIC then took a 2-1 lead at 17:09 of the 2^nd, which they held until Ahlgren's tying goal in the 3^rd period.

Bentley's final regular season series of the season gets underway Friday at Tate Rink in West Point before shifting to the JAR Saturday night.
