WATERTOWN, Mass. – Bentley extended its unbeaten streak to four games (2-0-2) as they skated to a 3-3 tie with Sacred Heart Saturday night at the JAR in Atlantic Hockey action. Senior Andrew Gladiuk (White Rock, B.C./Nanaimo) scored to extend his goals streak to four games and points streak to six games.

A power play goal by right wing Kyle Schmidt (Menomonee Falls, Wisc./Sioux City) with 5:32 remaining in the 3^rd broke a 2-2 tie and gave the Falcons their first lead of the night, setup by defenseman Matt Blomquist's (Blaine, Minn./Coulee Region) 15^th assist of the season.

But less than a minute later Sacred Heart tied it off a goal by left wing Zack Luczyk that evened the score 3-3. A minute after Luczyk's goal however, Sacred Heart was whistled for an interference penalty, putting the Falcons on the power play, where they had already scored twice, with 2:46 remaining, but they were unable to cash in a third time.

Sacred Heart outshot Bentley 4-2 in OT but neither team found the winning goal, with Falcons goalie Gabe Antoni (Lansdale, Pa./Springfield) coming up big as part of a 32 save night overall.

The Pioneers led 2-0, scoring early in each of the first two periods. Center Justin Danforth scored on the power play 3:52 into the first, and defenseman Erlich Doerksen scored on a slap shot from the blue line 2:05 into the 2^nd period.

Bentley though chipped away at the deficit on a power play goal by Gladiuk at 16:20 of the 2^nd period, as he roofed a shot from the right faceoff circle over the glove of SHU goalie Brett Magnus. That was his 13^th goal of the season, with center Max French (West Kelowna, B.C./West Kelowna) getting the primary assist.

Just 1:01 into the 3^rd period it was freshman Cody DePourcq (Penticton, B.C./Penticton) finishing off a rush down the ice to even the score 2-2. Center Drew Callin (Middleton, Wisc./Janesville) got the goal started with a pass in the neutral zone on to Jake Ahlgren (Fergus Falls, Minn./Wenatchee), who entered the offensive zone and passed off to DePourcq, who beat Magnus under the pads for the goal.

With the tie, Bentley's Atlantic Hockey record goes to 8-9-4. They are back on the ice next weekend for a series at Mercyhurst.
