Argue Named to Mike Richter Award Watch List
WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley sophomore goalie Jayson Argue (Swan River, Manitoba/Nanaimo) has been named to the Mike Richter Award Watch List for 2015-16 as announced by Let's Play Hockey and the Herb Brooks Foundation.
20 goalies were named to the Watch List, which is given annually to the most outstanding goalie in Division I at the end of the season.
Goalies on the watch list were chosen for their past performances and future potential by members of Let's Play Hockey. The finalists and winner of the award will be voted upon by Division I coaches, scouts and members of the media. The winner will be revealed at the Frozen Four in Tampa.
Argue, one of just five sophomores on the Watch List, finished his freshman season 4th in the nation in save percentage (.934) and 11th in goals against average (2.00). He was voted 3rd team All-Atlantic Hockey and to the All-Rookie team.
