Switzer Signs with Hull Stingrays

WALTHAM, Mass. – Former Bentley University winger Brett Switzer (Calgary, Alberta/Spruce Grove) has signed with the Hull Stingrays of the Elite Ice Hockey League in the United Kingdom.

The EIHL is the top hockey league in the UK and consists of 10 teams located in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Switzer finished his Bentley career with a program record 146 career games played. He notched 45 goals and 65 assists for 110 points. He ranks fifth in career points in the school's Division I history, seventh in goals and sixth in assists.

As a co-captain this past season, he finished third on the squad in points (26) on 10 goals and 16 assists while helping the Falcons to 17 wins and third place in Atlantic Hockey.

He joins former teammates Steve Weinstein and Alex Grieve in having signed professional contracts after finishing his Bentley career.
