Argue Named Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University goalie Jayson Argue (Swan River, Manitoba/Nanaimo) has been named the Atlantic Hockey Rookie of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday morning. It's the second time this season he's earned the award.

Argue was stellar in between the pipes for Bentley over the weekend at Army. In two games he stopped 66 of 69 shots faced as the teams played to a pair of draws, 1-1 and 2-2. That gave him a .957 save percentage for the weekend.

Argue made 34 saves in Saturday's 2-2 tie, including a game-saving stop on Army with six seconds left in OT that preserved the tie. He made 32 saves in Friday's series opener.

In 15 starts this season, Argue has allowed two or fewer goals in 13 of them. His .940 save percentage overall is second best in the nation, and his 1.86 goals against average is eighth.

Bentley is set to close out the regular season this week with two games. First at Sacred Heart Thursday night followed Holy Cross at home Saturday.
