Gladiuk Named Travel Team USA Atlantic Hockey Co-Player of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – After scoring four goals and notching two assists against Mercyhurst over the weekend, junior forward Andrew Gladiuk (White Rock, B.C./Nanaimo Clippers) was named a Travel Team USA Co-Player of the Week on Tuesday by Atlantic Hockey. It's the second time this season he's earned the award.

Gladiuk's hat trick on Saturday night, and game-winner with 33 seconds left in overtime, sent the Falcons to a 5-4 victory. He also scored a power play goal in the first period, and his second of the night with 4:41 left in the second period started Bentley's comeback from 4-2 down. It was the second hat trick by a Falcon this season after Max French (West Kelowna, B.C./West Kelowna) did it against Niagara on Nov. 7.

Gladiuk also had one goal and one assist in Friday night's 4-4 tie.

After his big weekend, the British Columbia native now shares the national lead in both goals (9) and points (16). One of the players he shares the goals lead with his French, who has nine as well.

It's the third time in his career Gladiuk has been named the Atlantic Hockey Player of the Week. He was selected co-Player of the Week for the first time this season on Oct. 21 after scoring three goals in a series against Sacred Heart.

Gladiuk and the Falcons are back in action Friday night when they visit Harvard at the Bright Hockey Center in Cambridge.
