Bentley University junior forward Brett Gensler (St. Charles, Mo./Youngstown Phantoms) has been named to the 2012-13 New England Division I All-Star team, the New England Hockey Writers Association announced Tuesday. Voting is comprised of Division I head coaches and members of the media in the New England area.

The Atlantic Hockey Tournament gets underway this weekend with four first round, best-of-three series. The 10th-seeded Bentley University Falcons will take on the 7th-seeded Canisius College Golden Griffins in Buffalo, N.Y., beginning on Friday night with game one. Game two is Saturday night and game three, if necessary, is Sunday night. Each game begins at 7:05 pm.

AIC Upends Bentley in OT 4-3 on Peake’s Last Second Goal

AIC junior Blake Peake scored an empty-net, shorthanded goal with 1.3 seconds left in overtime to give the Yellow Jackets a 4-3 victory over Bentley University in the regular season finale. As a result, the Falcons will go on the road to Canisius next weekend for the first round of the Atlantic Hockey playoffs.
