DANIELS, W.V. – Day two of the 2019 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships was an impressive one for Bentley University's Tommy Ethier (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin HS) as the sophomore shot a three-under 69 on the 7,114-yard The Resort at Glade Springs course.

Ethier climbed 39 places into a tie for 52nd place at a four-over 79-69-148. With Bentley starting on the back nine, he birdied four of the first seven holes he played and finished with a total of six. Included were three straight on the 14, 15 and 16, all par-fours.

As a team, Bentley turned in a nine-over 297 and finished the day in 17th place at 305-297-602. The stroke portion of the tournament will conclude on Wednesday with the Falcons scheduled to tee off between 8:03 and 8:47 am.

Bentley's second-best day two score came from another sophomore, Ellis Yoder (Fort Wayne, Ind./Homestead HS), He carded a 37-37-74 while recording two birdies and four bogeys. For the tournament, he's tied for 83rd with a nine-over 153.

Senior Doug Kulikowski (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Mendon HS) also had a solid effort, turning in a 37-39-76 after a rough opening round.

After Ethier, Bentley's number two player on the leaderboard is junior Robert Falconer (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley HS). He's tied for 76th overall at a seven-over 151. Falconer was at two-under for the tournament through 29 holes before struggling over his last seven holes Tuesday.

Barry University, the number one ranked team nationally, is at the top of the team standings with a ten-under 566, good for a three-stroke lead over conference rival and second-ranked Lynn University. The Buccaneers, who were paired with the Falcons during the first two rounds, were 16-under during round two with four of their players breaking 70.

The individual leaderboard is headed by Lincoln Memorial's Sam Broadhurst, who is at six-under following back-to-back 69's. He owns a one-stroke lead over both Alex Scott (Grand Valley State) and Chase Carlson (Colorado Christian).
