Ethier, Falconer Crack Top 4 as Bentley Finishes 2nd in Northeast-10 Championships

ENDICOTT, N.Y. – Sophomore Tommy Ethier (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin HS) and junior Robert Falconer (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley HS) both placed in the top four to help the Bentley University Falcons finish second in the 2018 Northeast-10 Conference Men's Golf Championships, which concluded Monday at the En-joie Golf Course.

Ethier finished second with a four-under 140 while Falconer's one-under 143 put him in fourth place. Ethier followed up on his opening round 68 with an even-par 72 on the 6,750-yard course. Falconer posted a second-round 71, improving on his day one score by a stroke. Both players were named to the All-Championship Team.

Bentley, the defending champion, actually turned in a better score than last year with the Falcons finishing with an impressive 288-298-586. However, they ran into a red-hot Southern New Hampshire team that finished at two-under with a 574 (286-288). SNHU also had the individual medalist as Matt Paradis shot an eight-under 66-70-136.

The other Bentley player in the top 20 was senior Chris Simione (Cheshire, Conn./Cheshire HS). He tied for 12th with a 73-75-148.

]The remainder of the top five were Assumption College (297-293-590), Franklin Pierce (297-299-596) and Le Moyne College (297-299-596). This was the fourth time in the last six years that Bentley has placed in the top two.

Next up for Bentley is the Saint Rose Fall Shootout Friday and Saturday in Guilderland, N.Y.
