Ethier Named Northeast-10 Golfer of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University sophomore Tommy Ethier (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin HS) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Golfer of the Week following his winning performance in the American International College Fall Invitational.

Ethier, who is coming off an impressive rookie season and an outstanding summer of golf, earned medalist honors for the first time as a collegian, finishing with a two-under-par 142 at the Veterans Golf Course in Springfield. In his second tournament of the fall, he opened with a 69 and posted a second-round 73.

Last year, Ethier had a pair of second-place finishes and earned PING Division II All-Region honors after leading the Falcons with a 74.1 stroke average.

This past summer, Ethier was a semifinalist in the New Hampshire State Amateur.

Also recognized by the conference, with selection to the Weekly Honor Roll, was Bentley junior Robert Falconer (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley HS). He tied for fifth in the AIC Fall Invitational and turned in the tournament's low score, a second-round 68. Falconer finished with a 147 and currently has a 73.8 average through the season's first two events.

This weekend, Ethier, Falconer and their teammates will look to defend the team championship when the Northeast-10 Conference Championships are contested in Endicott, N.Y.
