DANIELS, W.V. – Bentley University seniors Chris Ehl (Reading, Mass./Reading HS) and Cal Meyers (Richfield, Wisc./Slinger HS) closed out their collegiate careers with impressive showings during the final day of play at the NCAA Division II East/Atlantic Golf Regional at The Resort at Glade Springs Wednesday.

Ehl fired a two-under 70 for his best round as a collegian and Meyers turned in a one-over 73 to pace the Falcons. Meyers finished the regional in a tie for 14th with a 76-73-73-222 while Ehl tied for 24th in the 108-player field, turning in a 75-79-70-224.

The play of those two helped Bentley finish 10th among 20 teams with a three-day score of 900 , the Falcons' second best in 11 NCAA regional appearances. Coach Mickey Herron's team improved each day of the tournament, following an opening 304 with a 299 and a 297. Bentley started strong during Wednesday's final round, threatening to get into the top three, before tailing off over their second nine.

Ehl birdied three of his first seven holes and made par on 10 of his last 11. Meyers, with a par on his final hole, edged out freshman teammate Tommy Ethier (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin HS) for the team's best stroke average for the season, 74.0-74.1.

Ethier also tied for 24th, finishing with a 74-73-77-222. He was at even-par through nine but had a rough back nine with four bogeys and a double.

Roberts Wesleyan (889), Franklin Pierce (890) and Charleston (892) qualified for the NCAA Division II Championships, which will be held in Alabama later i.Y.n the month, while Concordia (N.Y.), Indiana (Pa.) and Mercyhurst all missed by a single stroke.­

Concordia's Minwoo Park ran away with medalist honors, winning by six strokes over Ryan Rucinski of Wilmington (Del.). The two earned the individual qualifying slots for the nationals with Park turning in a nine-under 207 after a final round 68 and Rucinski followed with a 213.
