WALTHAM, Mass. – The Bentley University men's golf team will be one of the first six to tee off Monday morning when the NCAA Division II East/Atlantic Regional gets underway as the Resort at Glade Springs in Daniels, W.V. Tee times for the Falcons range from 7:30 am-8:10.

Coach Mickey Herron, who saw his team qualify for the eighth straight year, will go with a lineup of two seniors, two juniors and a freshman with four of the five having previous  regional tournament experience.

Senior Cal Meyers (Richfield, Wisc./Slinger HS) will be competing in his fourth regional, juniors Doug Kulikowski (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland HS) and Chris Simione (Cheshire, Conn./ Cheshire HS) will be playing in their third and senior Chris Ehl (Reading/Reading HS) will be participating in his second.

The only newcomer in Herron's lineup is freshman Tommy Ethier (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin HS), who has the team's best stroke average this year at 74.0. Four times he has turned in a 72 or better, including a pair of 68's.

Meyers was right behind Ethier with a 74.1 overall, including 73.8 over his final nine rounds. Simione achieved a 75.2, Kulikowski a 76.6 and Ehl a 78.1.

Last May on the same course, Bentley finished 12th among 20 teams with a 920. Kulikowski was the Falcons' top golfer, tying for 28th with a 54-hole score of 228. In 2016, Meyers tied for tenth place with a 224.

Bentley is one of three East Region teams who will be competing in an eighth straight regional, a distinction the Falcons share with Wilmington and St. Thomas Aquinas.

The top three teams and two top individuals not on a qualifying team will advance to the NCAA Championships, which will be held in Alabama later this month.
