WALTHAM, Mass. – Following back-to-back impressive showings in his team's first two tournaments of the spring, Bentley University freshman Tommy Ethier (Nashua, N.H./Bishop Guertin HS) has been named both the Northeast-10 Men's Golfer and Rookie of the Week.

Ethier posted a pair of top-five finishes and a 74.3 stroke average for six rounds during two 54-hole tournaments. He tied for second in the California Coaches Intercollegiate Classic in Crofton, Md. with a 75-74-76-225 and tied for fifth in The Trojan in Goldsboro, N.C. with a 77-68-75-220. The latter was tied for the second best 54-hole score by a Bentley player in the last 20 seasons.

Ethier, who has a team-best 73.5 stroke average  and four top-five showings during his first five collegiate tournaments, is ranked fifth in the East Region of Division II by Golfstat.

Bentley, which has already clinched a berth in next month's NCAA Division II East/Atlantic Regional, will be in Maryland this weekend for the St. Thomas Aquinas Invitational.
