Kulikowski Takes 5th in Saint Rose Fall Shootout

GUIDERLAND, N.Y. – Bentley University junior Doug Kulikowski (Pittsford, N.Y./ Pittsford Sutherland HS) posted his third strong tournament performance of the season by taking fifth in the Saint Rose Fall Shootout that concluded Saturday at the Pinehaven Country Club.

Kulikowski finished two strokes back of the medalist, Franklin Pierce's Sam Myers, with a four-over-par 146. Following a 72 during Friday's opening round, he closed the tournament with a 74.

Bentley's number two man in the tournament was senior Chris Ehl (Reading, Mass./Reading Memorial HS), who rebounded from an 82 to fire a second-round and collegiate-best 74, matching senior Chris Eskierski (Greenwich, Conn./Iona Prep) , who also achieved a collegiate low round, and Kulikowski with the Falcons' best Saturday scores. Ehl tied for 25th with a 156.

As a team, Bentley finished sixth of ten with a 311-303-614. It was virtually a brand new team from the Falcon team that won the Northeast-10 Championship earlier in the week, with just one player seeing action in both events.

Franklin Pierce captured team honors by nine strokes over Le Moyne, 588-597.

Bentley will finish its fall schedule with the New England Intercollegiate Golf Association Division II Championships Oct. 22-23.
