Bentley Finishes 4th in Saint Rose Fall Shootout; Meyers Ties for 3rd

GUILDERLAND, N.Y. – The Saint Rose Fall Shootout concluded Saturday afternoon at the Pinehaven Country Club with the Bentley University Falcons finishing fourth in a nine-team field.

Bentley shot a second-round 311 and finished the two-day event with a score of 616, seven back of Le Moyne College's winning score. In between the Falcons and Dolphins were Dominican College (N.Y.) (308-303-611) and Saint Rose (304-308-612).

The Falcons were led by junior Cal Meyers (Richfield, Wis./Slinger HS), who finished in a five-way tie for third with a 150. He shot a four-over 75 during Friday's opening round and matched it on Saturday.

Junior Chris Ehl (Reading, Mass./Reading HS) was next on the leaderboard for Bentley as he tied for eighth with a 75-76-151. He finished only two strokes off the winning pace, and Meyers was just one back of co-champions John Clare (Le Moyne) and Sam Myers (Franklin Pierce).

Bentley also had two players, sophomore Doug Kulikowski (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland HS) and junior Brett Chatfield (Attleboro, Mass./Bishop Feehan HS) tie for 11th place. Chatfield had a 77-75-152 and Kulikowski was just the reverse, 75-77-152.
