Kulikowski Ties for 3rd in Northeast-10 Golf Championships; Bentley Finishes 4th

VALATIE, N.Y. – Bentley University sophomore Doug Kulikowski (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland HS) continued his strong play this fall by tying for third in the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Golf Championships, which concluded Monday at the Olde Kinderhook Golf Club.

Kulikowski shot an even-par 72 during his final round and finished at one-over with a 73-72-145. He was one stroke out of second place and trailed conference champion Corey Purcell (Saint Rose) by five strokes.

Kulikowski got out to a great second-round start, with birdies on four of the first seven holes. He had a 33 after the front nine and closed with a 39 on the back side.

Kulikowski was one of three Bentley players to finish in the top 11 as the trio helped the Falcons place fourth in the ten-team tournament with a 301-302-603. Le Moyne College edged Southern New Hampshire by one, 586-587, for the team championship, and Saint Rose finished third at 297-300-597.

Also playing well for the Falcons were juniors Cal Meyers (Richfield, Wis./Slinger HS) and Brett Chatfield (Attleboro, Mass./Bishop Feehan HS). Meyers finished tenth with a 77-72-149, and Chatfield tied for 11th after posting a 74-76-150.

Bentley will be back in New York's Capital District later this week, competing in the Saint Rose Fall Invitational Friday and Saturday.
