Chatfield & Meyers Earn Academic All-NE-10 Honors in Golf

WALTHAM, Mass. – Bentley University rising juniors Brett Chatfield (Attleboro/Bishop Feehan HS) and Cal Meyers (Richfield, Wisc./Slinger HS) were named to the 2016 Academic All-Northeast-10 Conference men's golf team after excelling both on the course and in the classroom.

Meyers was second on the team with a 76.5 stroke average and Chatfield was fifth among Falcons who played in at least half the matches, with a 79.9 average. Meyers had the team's highest finish in two of six tournaments during the spring, including a 74-74-76-224 in the NCAA Division II East Regional when he tied for tenth overall.

Chatfield led Bentley to a third place finish in the Northeast-10 Championships last fall when he turned in a 70-71-141 to place second overall. That effort earned him first-team All-Northeast-10 accolades.

Midway through their collegiate careers, Meyers has a stroke average of 77.5 and Chatfield is at 79.3

In the classroom, both have achieved grade point averages over 3.75.  Meyers is majoring in both accountancy and liberal studies, and Chatfield's major is corporate finance and accounting.

Bentley, which made a sixth straight appearance in the NCAA regional tournament, was the only team to have more than one player selected for the five-man Academic All-Conference team.
