ENDICOTT, N.Y. – Bentley University sophomore Brett Chatfield (Attleboro, Mass./Bishop Feehan HS) and senior teammate Malcolm Oliver (Damariscotta, Maine/Lincoln Academy) each earned first-team All-Northeast-10 Conference honors after posting top four finishes in the conference championships that concluded Monday at the En Joie Golf Course.

Chatfield finished second in the 50-player field with a 70-71-141 while Oliver took fourth place after turning in a 72-71-143. Both players were one under during Monday's final round but couldn't top medalist John Clare of Le Moyne College, who posted his second straight 70 for a winning score of 140.

Chatfield birdied five holes during the second round, including four in a row at one point, and finished with the tournament's best average on par-fours, 3.80. Oliver's tournament included 26 pars and six birdies.

Their effort helped Bentley finish third in the team standings with a 291-293-584. That put them three strokes back of Southern New Hampshire University and Le Moyne College, who both finished at 581. SNHU earned the championship after prevailing on the first playoff hole, 15-16.

Bentley's number three man was senior Tom Ayres (Bolton, Mass./Nashoba Reg. HS), who finished 14th with a 75-76-151. Sophomore Cal Meyers (Richfield, Wisc./Slinger HS) tied for 21st (80-75-155) and freshman Doug Kulikowski (Pittsford, N.Y./Pittsford Sutherland HS) finished in a tie for 25th (74-82-156).

The next action for the Falcons is the Saint Rose Fall Invitational Friday and Saturday.
