WALTHAM, Mass. – With All-America and Academic All-America Ryan Richmond (Toronto, Ont./Thomson Collegiate) setting the pace, the Bentley University men's basketball team led all NCAA divisions in free throw percentage during the 2018-19 season.

Coach Jay Lawson's team finished at .817, shattering the school record of .787, set nearly 40 years ago during the 1979-80 season. Closest to the Falcons among Division II programs were Southwest Minnesota State, at .813, and Le Moyne College, at .809.

Division III Wabash also finished at .817, but was marginally behind Bentley.

Richmond got to the line 6.6 times a game and finished with an .891 accuracy mark after making 171 of 192 from the charity stripe. He ranked 23rd in Division II overall and was sixth best among players with at least 170 makes.

Bentley also received strong showings from the line from sophomore guard Jordan Mello-Klein (Sharon/Thayer Academy) and Mason Webb (Oklahoma City, Okla./Bishop McGuinness HS). Webb was 23 of 25 (.920) and Mello-Klein buried 33 of 36 (.917).
