Richmond Named Northeast-10 Player of the Week

WALTHAM, Mass. – Following a week in which he surpassed 1,500 career points and led the Falcons to a pair of conference wins, Bentley University senior guard Ryan Richmond (Toronto, Ont./ Thompson Collegiate School) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week. It's the second time in his career that he's been recognized.

In the two wins for the 4-0 Falcons, Richmond averaged 24 points, 5.5 rebounds, four assists and one steal while shooting .565 overall, 6 of 10 from three and 16 of 18 at the foul line.

Against Merrimack in a come-from-behind 65-59 win, Richmond scored 20 of his 23 points in the second half, and also had seven rebounds and two steals. His performance included a perfect 11-of-11 at the foul stripe.

That followed a 25-point, five-assist, four-rebound effort in an 84-71 victory at Stonehill. He made eight of 12 shots against the Skyhawks, including four of six from three-point territory.

Richmond, the 14th player in program history to reach the 1,500 plateau and currently seventh among active Division II players in career points, is second in the NE10 in scoring at 22.5 a game. He's shooting 57 percent overall, 60 percent from three and 94 percent at the line, and is also averaging 5.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists.

Bentley is back in action Sunday afternoon with a home game against Jefferson University.
